Day 41 of 365 Days of Thanks

At my hubby's work today someone told him about a large herd of antelope just outside of town. So after work we grabbed our camera and binoculars and hopped in the car to see if we could find them. Well we found them, and the person was right, there were at least 50 or so out in one of the plowed corn fields. They were an awesome site! Then as soon as I started to get my camera ready, they spotted us. Now mind you they were already about 200-300 yards away from us. As soon as they saw us they ran, and boy did they run! We drove parallel to them (not chasing them) and at one point it seemed like we were even with them and we were going about 25 mph. Here is a photo of what it would have looked like if we had gotten a picture of them.

I did not take this picture - photo credit: http://johnsonmatel.com/blog1/2010/09/high_plains_drifting.html
